Sign a Petition

While a signature can only do so much, it is also one of the quickest and easiest ways to have your voice heard, requiring merely a name and email address. 

While there are many petitions out there that you can sign, here are a few that can serve as a starting point.

• #DefundThePolice: Join the Black Lives Matter movement, which aims to defund law enforcement and redirect funds to invest in Black communities.
• Stand with Breonna: To seek justice for Breonna Taylor, who was murdered when police wrongfully entered her Kentucky apartment.
• Justice for Ahmaud Arbery: To seek justice for Ahmaud Arbery, who was killed while jogging—unarmed—in Georgia.

Educate

One of the most important steps you can take is to unlearn your racial biases, as well as to educate yourself and others about what it means to be anti-racist. Here is a list of resources that you may refer to. You can also read books and articles, listen to podcasts, or watch shows and movies that discuss race and racism through analysis and critiques.
